Eligibility Requirements
To become a B. E. S. T. Achiever, students must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a program of postsecondary education
at UNC Charlotte. Serving an ethnically diverse population, B. E. S. T. caters to students with restricted family incomes,
potential “first-generation” college students, and students with disabilities evidencing academic need are eligible for our
services. There is a required distribution of populations and a formula is used to determine eligibility. Use the below
criteria to determine if you qualify to be an Achiever.
Are you?
- first generation college student (neither parent or guardian has recieved a Bachelor's degree)
- a student with limited income (according to federal guidelines)
- a student with a documented disability that impacts learning
